Penn State wore black and pink jerseys again in its game against No. 13 Virginia Tech on Tuesday. And once again, they looked awesome.
It can’t be a coincidence that the Nittany Lions handed the Hokies their first loss of the season while wearing those beauties. They are now 6-0 since bringing the pink and black back in 2014. It also probably had something to do with this guy returning.
The great thing about these jerseys is that they aren’t over the top. A pink jersey with black letters would not look as good, and if the Nittany Lions wear the pink and black too often it would become less special when they do wear them.
They wore them twice in 2014 and once every year since, which is just the right amount. Once or twice a year, no more. So far, the basketball team has found a good balance of when to wear the original school colors.
