Penn State Football will miss Marcus Allen more than Saquon Barkley

Nittany Nation has said farewell to some of its best playmakers ever after their team’s Fiesta Bowl win. With the departure of players like Saquon Barkley, Mike Gesicki, Jason Cabinda, DaeSean Hamilton and Marcus Allen, the Nittany Lions are going to have a completely new look next season.

And as much as everyone is going to miss Barkley’s electric runs and Heisman moments, of all the players the Nittany Lions are losing to the NFL, Marcus Allen is easily the most irreplaceable. He leaves the biggest void to fill, not because of the plays he made on the field, but what he did off the field.

As great as Allen was at Penn State, the team is losing something much bigger than that, something that was truly special: his dancing.

He started a national trend with his post-game dance videos, and a lot of fans made sure to check his Twitter soon after every Nittany Lion win over the past few seasons.

It even led to a shout out from Cardi B on Twitter.

Marcus Allen was a big part of Penn State returning to the national spotlight. He almost single handedly brought the swagger back to Nittany Lion football. Remember the “Free Kodak”? Yeah, he started that here. You couldn’t scroll past three insta posts without seeing that pose last year.

Without his videos and dance moves, Penn State football will never be the same. Nobody would be surprised if this man ends up on Dancing With The Stars one day, especially for his moves at 1:08 of this video.

This leads to one of the most important questions of 2018: who will take Chico’s role? Who will keep the hype train moving? Tommy Stevens?
